Union Hall Area Plan

In March 2013, Franklin County began the process of creating the first Union Hall Village Plan. At this time, a survey was mailed to all property owners within the Union Hall zip code. Out of nearly 1,500 surveys mailed, the County received feedback from more than 450 property owners. This feedback helped create the original plan. The Franklin County Board of Supervisors adopted the first Union Hall Village Plan on March 18, 2014.

This 2014 plan was primarily a transportation analysis.

As the Comprehensive Plan and the County's village and area plans are living documents, they warrant periodic updates to stay relevant. To this end, the County began the process of updating the Union Hall Village Plan in 2021.

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing and approved the plan by a vote of 6 to 1 on January 16, 2024. The Union Hall Village Plan is part of the Franklin County Comprehensive Plan.
