The Franklin County Department of Public Safety Training Center is a 9-acre training facility that accommodates multiple students. The Training Center trains career and volunteer firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and paramedics.


The 9-acre facility features multiple sub-facilities that include:

  • 2-Story, Class-A Live Burn House
  • 3-Story Ropes and May
  • Day Training Tower
  • Search Maze


Simulations

Simulations allow firefighters to gain real-life experience in a controlled setting. Possible simulations available at this facility are:

  • Fire Ground Operations
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Technical Rope Rescue
  • Vehicle Rescue/Extrication
